CareerSTAT Healthcare Workforce Development Academy
The CareerSTAT Healthcare Workforce Development Academy (Academy) is designed to support healthcare organizations accelerate the adoption of evidence-based business practices and policies to build competitive advantage and provide more frontline workers with equitable access to the skills, training, and credentials to advance their careers to family-sustaining wages. The inaugural cohort of the Academy successfully changed practices to expand opportunities for entry-level employees, including scaling programs, creating pathways, developing new partnerships, and changing policies.
The Academy is an offers a unique 18-month program consisting of customized webinars, three in-person sessions with peers and subject matter experts, virtual learning and coaching, and an industry-led community of practice for idea exchange. Through the Academy, participants will receive technical assistance from peer organizations including CareerSTAT Champion Employers, national consultants, and staff at the National Fund for Workforce Solutions to build competencies in seven content areas.
Apply to Join the CareerSTAT Academy
We are excited to offer a second cohort of the Academy starting in December 2019, running through June 2021. Up to 15 employers will be selected to participate in the Academy. Ideal organizations have demonstrated senior leadership support for frontline workforce development but have opportunity to build infrastructure and/or secure operational support to sustain programming. Organizations previously recognized as a Frontline Healthcare Worker Emerging Champion will be given priority in the selection process. Organizations that have not been recognized, but meet the Emerging Champion criteria may be included if space allows.
Organizations must complete an application, organizational self-assessment, and submit a letter of support from senior leadership to be considered for the Academy. The PDF versions of the application and assessment are available to help you prepare, but must be submitted via the online survey (combined into one survey for convenience).
Interested organizations should complete application package by October 7.
