National Fund for Workforces Solutions Welcomes Northeast Ohio to its Extensive Network of Regional Collaborative Sites

The Fund for Our Economic Future joins the National Fund network, working to build shared prosperity in the Northeast Ohio region.

 

Regional funder collaboratives are the heart of the National Fund for Workforce Solution’s mission. They bring together diverse community partners to help individuals develop new skills and access a good job, businesses find trained employees, and communities generate inclusive prosperity. The National Fund is excited to welcome Cleveland-based Fund for Our Economic Future into its network of over 30 regional funder collaboratives.

The Fund for Our Economic Future is a philanthropic collaborative in Northeast Ohio working to advance economic growth and increased access to opportunity for all people through efforts that improve job creation, job preparation and job access. The Fund’s job preparation work is focused on supporting system fundamentals to improve workforce outcomes, specifically, through sector-based workforce partnerships.

“We are excited to have Northeast Ohio’s Fund for Our Economic Future join our network and to add a second site in Ohio,” said National Fund President and CEO Fred Dedrick. Over the past decade, the National Fund has expanded its network to over 30 communities, among them Cincinnati, working with hundreds of business, philanthropic, and workforce leaders. “We look forward to working with our new partners on a good jobs and workforce strategy that builds a more prosperous community in Northeast Ohio.”

The Northeast Ohio Fund also works on specific initiatives, such as skills-based hiring and youth apprenticeships, to improve job quality and build career pathways while reducing barriers, to job placement and advancement.
