EmployIndy and the Indianapolis Regional Workforce Partnership join the National Fund network to improve the quality of the workforce in the Indianapolis region
Washington, DC, July 26, 2021 — The National Fund for Workforce Solutions welcomes Indianapolis into its network of regional workforce collaboratives. A national implementation network fuels the National Fund’s mission. Regional workforce collaboratives bring together diverse community partners to help individuals develop new skills and access a good job, businesses find trained employees, and communities generate inclusive prosperity.
EmployIndy envisions a future where all residents in Marion County, Indiana, have access to services and training necessary to secure a livable wage and grow in a career that meets employer demand for talent. Together with the Regional Workforce Partnership, they bring together leaders from the private sector, city government, education, and community-based organizations to collectively address local labor market challenges and create a stronger climate for businesses, individuals, and the community.
“We are excited to have EmployIndy and the Regional Workforce Partnership join our network and expand the National Fund’s footprint in the Midwest,” said National Fund Network Director Hollie Marston. “Indianapolis will make important contributions to our learning network and strengthen our other Midwest partners in their efforts to build more equitable and prosperous communities.”
EmployIndy focuses on areas of the region with the most need. By addressing complex issues such as disinvestment, multi-generational poverty, and education inequities, EmployIndy strengthens the workforce in ways that help the entire Indianapolis Metropolitan region.
“As we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, assess the new realities of the labor market and economy, and prepare for federal investments focused on job creation and job seeker preparation, we think it is more important than ever to formalize the Indianapolis Regional Workforce Partnership as a member of the National Fund network,” said Angela Carr Klitzsch, president and CEO of EmployIndy. “Through this partnership, we will continue to work collaboratively to develop and scale effective solutions addressing long-term talent development and economic prosperity in our region.”
