Activate Industry Leaders To Improve Job Quality and Create More Equitable Workplaces

Nearly half of U.S. workers earn low wages, with women and people of color disproportionately affected. While some advance through skill-building and earning credentials, most remain stuck without real opportunities for economic mobility. Research shows that when employers invest in job quality and partner with workers in making operational decisions, job satisfaction rises, and retention and advancement improve. Ultimately, businesses are stronger, and employees thrive. To create better jobs and stronger companies, we must bring industries and employers together with workers to set higher job standards and design more effective workplace practices.

Many employers are eager to explore new ways of working to improve their workplaces but need the right tools and guidance. The National Fund and our Network Partners are helping industry leaders take action — developing practical solutions and supporting businesses in building more equitable workplaces where all workers have a chance to succeed.
