Triad Workforce Solutions Collaborative Receives $3.2M Grant

National Fund collaborative Triad Workforce Solutions Collaborative based in Greensboro, North Carolina was awarded $3.2M by the North Carolina General Assembly to spearhead a variety of workforce development goals in the four-county area that includes Guilford, Randolph, Alamance and Rockingham counties. Top priorities of their proposed initiative are:

  • increasing youthworkforce development programs
  • expanding programming into earlier grades in public schools and,
  • finding solutions for good-wage or workforce-challenged industries that are comprised predominately of small businesses.

These efforts will be sustained and supported by local partnerships with community colleges, public schools, county workforce development boards, youth apprenticeship programs and employers.

The collaborative is a fiscal agent of the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, which will receive and administer the grant funds.
